About Pristine Renovations

Pristine Renovations is a Florida renovation contractor based in Tallahassee. We handle residential remodeling and commercial renovations across Florida, including work in occupied senior living, behavioral health, assisted living and other care facilities. Our projects range from home remodels to multi-building facility work. We focus on renovations and improvements, not ground-up construction.

The Role

You will lead estimating for our residential work in Tallahassee and share commercial bids with our commercial estimator. You’ll take projects from site visits and drawing review through subcontractor pricing, client proposals and handoff to operations.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced estimator. We’ll help you learn our clients, systems, markets and subcontractor relationships. We’re looking for someone who can contribute to active estimates early and manage an independent bid calendar within the first 30 days.

What You’ll Do

• Prepare detailed estimates and quantity takeoffs from plans, specifications and field measurements.
• Visit project sites, document existing conditions and identify risks that affect scope, price or schedule.
• Build trade bid packages, solicit subcontractor and supplier pricing, and compare bids for gaps and exclusions.
• Price labor, materials, equipment and subcontracted work; prepare clear proposals with scope, assumptions, allowances and exclusions.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, draftspeople, architects and engineers to clarify scope and support accurate pricing.
• Lead estimate handoffs, support buyout and change-order pricing, and compare estimated costs with actual project costs.

What You’ll Bring

• At least five years of construction estimating experience, including renovation or remodeling projects.
• Demonstrated ability to estimate both residential and commercial work.
• Experience with takeoffs, trade scopes, subcontractor pricing and complete bid packages.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Working knowledge of Florida Building Code and permitting requirements.
• Strong Excel, organization and written communication skills.
• A valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites across Florida, including occasional overnight trips.

Preferred: Experience with occupied healthcare, senior living or other care facilities; STACK, Bluebeam or Buildertrend; and field experience as a superintendent, foreman or project manager.

Work Location

This is an in-person position based in our Tallahassee office, generally Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. when not traveling. Site visits may involve active construction areas, ladders and stairs, and occasional access to attics, crawlspaces or roofs.

Compensation

• Base salary of $85,000–$95,000, depending on experience.
• Nine paid holidays plus your birthday.
• One week of vacation in year one, available after six months; two weeks beginning in year two.
• Company laptop, and work phone; fuel is covered for company travel.
• Per diem and lodging for work travel, according to company policy.
