EcoBuild Plus is a licensed Chicagoland general contractor specializing in residential and commercial construction, remodeling, and home improvement projects throughout the Chicago area.

We are hiring an experienced Construction Estimator with strong estimating skills, knowledge of U.S. cold-weather construction practices, and proficiency with estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate construction estimates, material takeoffs, and cost breakdowns.
• Review blueprints, drawings, specifications, and project scopes.
• Calculate material quantities, labor costs, and project pricing.
• Identify missing scope items, cost discrepancies, and potential risks.
• Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Use estimating software to prepare and manage project bids.

Requirements

• Construction estimating experience is required.
• U.S. cold-weather construction experience is mandatory, including familiarity with insulation, roofing, moisture protection, weatherproofing, and cold-climate building practices.
• Experience with estimating tools and software is required, such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, STACK, Xactimate, or similar.
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and perform accurate material takeoffs.
• General construction industry background is preferred.
• Strong Excel skills, attention to detail, and English communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
