Construction Fence Estimator

We are looking for a QUICK LEARNER- if you are good with computers, outgoing, can work under pressure, are able to handle very detailed reports/forms, can communicate thoroughly and show up reliably then you are likely a good fit!

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and outgoing individual to join our team as an Estimator. The Estimator will play a crucial role in the pre-construction phase by providing accurate cost estimates for construction projects. This position is targeted to people who have prior fencing and/or construction experience, but perhaps no estimating experience. This job requires use of computers, software programs, etc, so strong computer and communication skills are a must.

This is an hourly wage position + commission with the possibility of becoming salary in the future.

Duties

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to gather relevant information for estimating processes.
• Monitor costs throughout the project lifecycle to maintain budget control.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather data necessary for accurate estimating.
• Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and correspondence related to each project.

Qualifications

• Must be a team player

• Willingness to learn the estimating process

• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate pricing and contract evaluation.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

• Familiarity with construction site operations and safety practices is a plus.

• A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite & Google Suite preferable

• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

• Excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor

• Pay is DOE- the more estimating and fencing experience you have, the better!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $30.00 per hour
