What they need
RUMi CONSTRUCTION GROUP | CONSTRUCTION FIELD COORDINATOR
Starting Pay | $20.00 per hour | Field-Based | Construction & Renovation
Job Description
RUMi Construction Group is seeking a professional, dependable, and detail-oriented Construction Field Coordinator to assist our team with residential and commercial project walkthroughs.
This position is an important part of our client experience. You will work directly in the field, meeting with clients, listening carefully to their needs, documenting project conditions, taking accurate measurements, and gathering the information our construction team needs to properly understand each project.
We are looking for someone who can walk into a property, communicate confidently and professionally, and understand what the client is really asking for - not simply write down a list of requested work.
The right person will be observant, organized, comfortable around construction environments, and willing to learn and grow with RUMi Construction Group.
Key Responsibilities
- Attend residential and commercial project walkthroughs.
- Meet and communicate professionally with clients.
- Listen carefully to understand the client's goals, concerns, priorities, and expectations.
- Ask appropriate follow-up questions to clarify what the client wants accomplished.
- Accurately measure rooms and project areas, including walls, ceilings, floors, doors, windows, cabinets, and other areas as required.
- Properly use a tape measure and/or laser measuring device.
- Take clear, detailed, and organized photographs and videos of project areas.
- Document existing property conditions, requested changes, materials, finishes, colors, and other important details.
- Take clear and organized field notes and identify visible conditions that may affect the project.
- Make sure important measurements, photographs, and client information are collected before leaving the property.
- Organize and communicate field information so it can be easily reviewed by the RUMi Construction Group team.
- Maintain professional communication and conduct while representing RUMi Construction Group.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate understands that good construction work begins with good communication and accurate information. You should be able to listen to a client, observe the property, ask intelligent questions, measure accurately, photograph important details, and communicate your findings clearly to the team.
We value someone who takes initiative and pays attention to details that others may overlook.
Qualifications
- Construction, remodeling, maintenance, handyman, property inspection, field service, or related experience preferred.
- Ability to accurately use a tape measure.
- Strong attention to detail, listening skills, and communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating directly with homeowners and commercial clients.
- Professional appearance and attitude.
- Ability to take clear, organized photographs, videos, and field notes.
- Comfortable using a smartphone for photos, videos, notes, and company communication.
- Reliable transportation; dependable and punctual.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn, accept training, and develop construction knowledge.
- Strong work ethic and ability to represent RUMi Construction Group professionally on client properties.
Experience, reliability, communication skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn are important to RUMi Construction Group
Training & Career Growth
RUMi Construction Group is looking for someone who wants to build a career and increase their construction knowledge over time.
The Construction Field Coordinator will receive training on RUMi's project walkthrough, measurement, client communication, photography, and documentation procedures.
As you demonstrate reliability and develop your skills, RUMi Construction Group will provide opportunities to learn more about construction materials, renovation processes, project scopes, jobsite conditions, project coordination, and other areas of the construction industry.
We do not expect you to know everything on your first day. We expect you to be professional, dependable, teachable, observant, and willing to grow.
Compensation & Bonus Structure
Starting Pay: $20.00 per hour
In addition to hourly pay, the Construction Field Coordinator may earn performance-based bonuses for consistently meeting RUMi Construction Group standards. Bonus eligibility may be based on the quality and completeness of field documentation, accurate measurements, clear photos and notes, reliability and punctuality, professional client communication, and consistent completion of assigned responsibilities.
Additional recognition or project-based bonuses may be offered for exceptional performance and increased responsibility. Bonus amounts and eligibility are determined by RUMi Construction Group based on individual performance and company needs.
Opportunities for increased responsibility and compensation are available as your knowledge, performance, reliability, and responsibilities within the company grow.
