What they need

Field Engineer

Our projects span the U.S., offering opportunities to learn, lead, and advance. This travel-based role requires flexibility and relocation. Field Engineers typically work on projects for about two years before moving to new assignments. While we aim to keep projects regional, business needs may require relocation anywhere in the country. Join us and grow with every project!

Why Thompson Thrift?
Thompson Thrift is an integrated, full-service real estate company engaged in the development, construction, leasing, and management of high-quality multifamily communities nationwide. We’re committed to building exceptional places — and developing the people who make them possible.

  • Assist with punch list execution as directed by site management

  • Track and report daily subcontractor headcount by trade

  • Promote job site safety, cleanliness, and organization

  • Document construction progress through daily and weekly site photos

  • Assist the project team as needed to support successful project execution

  • Exposure to construction scheduling, cost tracking, and job site safety

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Procore or similar construction software is a plus

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset

  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced construction environment
