Construction Field Technician

Job Summary

This role combines skilled hands‑on construction work with reliable crew transportation, ensuring projects run smoothly from start to finish. The Construction & Masonry Crew Driver supports daily operations by performing masonry tasks, general labor, site preparation, and assisting with material handling. In addition to field work, this position is responsible for safely transporting crew members, tools, and supplies to and from job sites, maintaining punctuality and readiness for each workday.

The ideal candidate is dependable, hardworking, and comfortable balancing physical labor with logistical responsibilities. They contribute to high‑quality workmanship, uphold safety standards, and help maintain efficient workflow across multiple job sites. Their ability to drive, work, and support the team makes them a key part of daily production and project success.

Duties

• Perform masonry tasks including laying stone, brick, block, and assisting with mortar mixing and site prep.
• Support general construction activities such as demolition, framing assistance, material handling, and job‑site cleanup.
• Safely transport crew members, tools, and materials to and from job sites each day.
• Maintain company vehicle cleanliness, organization, and basic upkeep to ensure reliable transportation.
• Load and unload equipment, ensuring all necessary tools are accounted for before departure and upon return.
• Follow all safety protocols and job‑site procedures to maintain a secure working environment.
• Assist with measuring, cutting, and preparing materials for masonry and construction tasks.
• Communicate with supervisors and crew members regarding daily schedules, site needs, and transportation logistics.
• Support efficient workflow by staying prepared, punctual, and adaptable to changing job‑site demands.
• Represent the company professionally while driving, on job sites, and when interacting with clients or vendors.

Experience

• Prior experience in construction, masonry, or general labor is helpful for understanding job‑site workflow and basic building practices.
• Familiarity with mixing mortar, laying stone or brick, or assisting with pours is preferred, but the team is willing to train motivated candidates.
• Experience operating hand tools, power tools, and job‑site equipment is beneficial and makes onboarding faster.
• Previous work involving loading/unloading materials, site prep, or cleanup is a plus.
• Any background in driving company vehicles, transporting crews, or handling daily route logistics is preferred but not required.
• Comfort working in outdoor environments, fast‑paced job sites, and physically demanding conditions is helpful. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong reliability, punctuality, and teamwork skills are valued more than formal experience.
• A valid driver’s license, clean driving record and the passing of a drug test are required.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.50 per hour
