Construction Foreman (1099 Contractor)

We are seeking an experienced Construction Foreman to coordinate and oversee construction and renovation work throughout the Bronx, Queens, and Manhattan.

The ideal candidate has strong hands-on skills in painting and carpentry, experience working with a construction company, and the ability to lead workers while maintaining quality, safety, and productivity on job sites.

We are looking for someone dependable, organized, and experienced who can help ensure projects are completed efficiently and professionally.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily construction and renovation activities.
• Supervise and coordinate laborers on assigned projects.
• Perform and oversee painting, carpentry, repairs, and general construction work.
• Ensure quality workmanship and maintain organized job sites.
• Communicate effectively with company management and other trades.
• Help identify and resolve job-site issues.
• Follow applicable safety requirements and project specifications.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a construction foreman, lead carpenter, or lead construction worker.
• Strong practical experience in painting and carpentry.
• Previous experience working with a construction company.
• Ability to lead workers and coordinate job-site tasks.
• Reliable transportation to job sites throughout the Bronx, Queens, and Manhattan.
• Ability to complete required contractor onboarding documentation, including Form W-9, if properly classified as an independent contractor.
• Work samples, project photos, and references are welcome but optional.
• Spanish-speaking ability is a plus but not required.

Compensation and Work Arrangement

The anticipated compensation range is $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience, responsibilities, and project requirements. Final terms will be discussed with qualified candidates.

This opportunity is intended for a properly classified independent contractor. Project scope, scheduling, payment terms, and applicable documentation will be discussed before work begins.
