Construction General Laborer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction General Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of building and maintaining infrastructure projects, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality at every stage. Responsibilities

• Assist with site preparation, including clearing debris and setting up safety barriers
• Perform manual handling tasks such as lifting, carrying, and positioning materials and equipment
• Support skilled trades by handling tools, equipment, and supplies needed for construction activities
• Follow all workplace safety regulations, including OSHA standards and proper use of respiratory protection and personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Read and interpret construction plans and technical drawings to understand project requirements
• Conduct erosion control measures to protect the environment and ensure project stability
• Operate power tools safely and assist with minor equipment repairs as needed
• Support heavy lifting operations and climbing tasks required for elevated work or accessing hard-to-reach areas
• Implement construction plans accurately while adhering to safety regulations at all times

Skills

• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings effectively
• Knowledge of erosion control techniques and environmental protection practices
• Mechanical aptitude with experience in equipment repair and maintenance
• Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations, including OSHA standards and industrial safety protocols
• Proficiency in manual handling, heavy lifting, climbing, and working at heights
• Understanding of respiratory protection requirements and proper PPE usage
• Experience working in industrial or large-scale construction environments is highly preferred
• Strong communication skills to follow instructions clearly and work collaboratively with team members

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
