Construction Industry - Planning Manager

Role Description

The Planning Manager will oversee project planning and scheduling activities for construction projects in Ras Al Khaimah. This full-time, on-site role involves developing and maintaining project schedules, coordinating with project managers and site teams, and ensuring alignment with contract requirements and milestones. The Planning Manager will analyze progress, identify delays or risks, and propose corrective actions to maintain project timelines and budgets. Responsibilities include preparing planning reports, updating management and stakeholders, supporting tender and bid development with time and resource estimates, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and relevant regulations. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, optimizing resource allocation, and contributing to continuous improvement of planning processes and tools.

Qualifications

• Strong project planning and scheduling skills using tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project, with the ability to develop and track detailed construction programs.
• Solid experience in construction project management, including coordination with engineering, procurement, and site execution teams.
• Analytical and risk assessment abilities to evaluate project progress, identify variances, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis for reporting and forecasting.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to present plans and reports clearly to internal and external parties.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; professional certifications in planning or project management (e.g., PMP) are an advantage.
• Relevant experience in the construction industry, ideally in building or infrastructure projects in the Gulf region.
• Ability to work on-site in Ras Al Khaimah, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
