Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Construction Industry Proposal Manager to lead the development of compelling proposals that showcase our expertise and secure new business opportunities. This role requires a proactive leader with exceptional project management skills, a deep understanding of the construction industry, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver winning proposals. The Proposal Manager will drive strategic initiatives, manage complex proposal processes, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.

Title: PROPOSAL MANAGER

Performs a wide range of duties for the Marketing, Communications, and Business Development departments.

The person must organize, prioritize, and complete work in a timely manner, meeting and/or exceeding established deadlines. The person must demonstrate outstanding writing capability and an advanced understanding of producing and completing exceptional work.

The person must be capable and motivated to take on a broad range of responsibilities in a dynamic and expanding work environment, while ensuring priority of Marketing/Communications responsibilities and deadlines.

· Proposal Development: Lead the development of proposals by coordinating with technical staff, architects, engineers, and project managers to produce high-quality submissions.

· Content Creation: Generate compelling content tailored to client needs, ensuring alignment with the firm’s brand and strategic objectives.

· Project Coordination: Manage the proposal process from initiation to submission, including schedules, assignments, and deadlines.

· Client Relationship Management: Understand client requirements and expectations to tailor proposals effectively, including participation in pre-bid meetings.

· Review and Quality Assurance: Conduct reviews of proposals for completeness, compliance, and overall quality, ensuring all submission requirements are met.

· Marketing Brochures and other Collateral: Develop and maintain McKissack’s marketing brochures, project profiles, and resumes.

· McKissack Website: Supprt editing content under Sr. Proposal Manager and Director of Marketing’s direction.

· Social Media: Support McKissack’s Social Media Specialist supporting campaigns at the direction of Sr. Proposal Manager or Director of Marketing

· Newsletters: Support in the development of the internal and external newsletters.

· Indusry Events: If required, attend industry events to represent McKissack

· Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends and competitors to enhance the firm’s competitive position.

· Other tasks as directed

Qualifications:

5-7 years marketing experience preparing and leading proposal development. A/E/C field preferred. BA/BS in related fields including business, marketing, or journalism or minimum of 5 years of experience as a proposal manager.

Superior writing, editing and graphic design skills. Demonstrated proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Suite. Mac environment preferred.

This Position is remote, however, you will need to travel to our NYC office as needed and also to our events occasionally or as directed.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
