Construction Inspector/Field Technician (Entry-Level)

GeoPro, LLC is hiring an Entry-Level Construction Inspector/Field Technician to join our growing team in Chantilly, VA. No prior field experience is required—we provide full hands-on training for motivated candidates looking to start a technical career in engineering and construction testing.

General Responsibilities:

· Under close supervision of higher-level inspectors or professional staffs, learn and assist with tasks and perform basic testing, observation, and inspection as directed in accordance with training and the specified procedures.

· Learn to read, interpret , and apply construction drawings and specifications.

· Communicate effectively with project managers, senior technicians, client representatives, and contractors regarding daily site operations.

· Draft field inspection reports for review by senior inspectors and/or Project Managers.

· Maintains equipment and calibration

· Follows safety rules and practices and other safety requirements for all projects. Performs pre-task planning prior to executing work. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.

· Maintain high-quality standards on all assigned projects

Requirements:

· Construction experiences or related field background is beneficial, however this is an entry level position and previous field experience is not mandatory.

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

· Ability to meet the physical demands of the position such as walking, standing, lifting up to 40 lbs, climbing ladders, bending, squatting, etc.

· Ability to obtain WACEL certification (Level I) within 60 days of hire

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook & Adobe

Pay: $17.50 - $21.00 per hour
