Experience Qualifications and Training

Extensive prior experience is not required. Previous construction experience is helpful but not required.

Candidates must:

· Meet applicable apprenticeship eligibility and enrollment requirements.

· Demonstrate a willingness to learn, accept feedback, and develop construction skills.

· Understand and follow work instructions and safety procedures.

· Possess basic math and measurement skills.

· Demonstrate reliability, teamwork, and attention to detail.

Safety and Accountability

Follow company policies, site procedures, and applicable OSHA requirements. Stop work and seek guidance when conditions are unsafe or instructions are unclear.

Maintain reliable attendance, accurately record time worked, and complete required training, progress evaluations, and apprenticeship records.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Essential duties may involve standing, walking, bending, kneeling, reaching, and handling materials and tools, with or without reasonable accommodation. Use team lifting or mechanical assistance when appropriate.

Work occurs at active construction sites with exposure to weather, dust, noise, uneven terrain, and moving equipment. Schedules may include early starts, overtime, and weekends.

Supervision and Development

The apprentice works alongside an assigned journeyworker. Responsibilities increase as skills develop and program milestones are achieved. Unfamiliar tasks and equipment require instruction and authorization before use.
