Duties

• Assist in the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools.
• Perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks such as concrete mixing, pouring, finishing, and cutting to support various phases of construction projects.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Install rebar, metal studs, formwork, and other structural components following blueprint specifications and technical drawings.
• Execute tasks related to concrete forming, pouring, finishing, cutting, and pumping to create durable foundations and structures.
• Support carpentry activities like framing, drywall installation, caulking, stucco application, tile laying, and plastering.
• Adhere strictly to construction workplace safety regulations and safety protocols to maintain a secure environment for all team members.

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge combined with experience interpreting construction plans and blueprints.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and specification interpretation for accurate project execution.
• Strong understanding of concrete work including formwork construction, finishing techniques, concrete cutting, pouring, pumping, and rebar installation.
• Familiarity with heavy machinery operation such as concrete mixers and pumps as well as hand tools and power tools.
• Knowledge of construction estimating processes and renovation techniques.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail in tasks like metal stud framing or tile installation.
• Commitment to safety protocol adherence with a solid understanding of construction site safety regulations.

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour
