Construction Laborer

As a Construction Laborer, you will assist skilled tradespeople in executing construction tasks safely and efficiently, ensuring that each project meets high standards of quality and safety. Your hands-on contribution will help bring innovative structures to life while gaining valuable experience in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpreting construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand project specifications and requirements
• Perform heavy lifting, material handling, and site cleanup to maintain a safe and organized work environment
• Operate hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, concrete pumps, and other equipment necessary for construction tasks
• Install rebar, formwork, metal stud framing, and perform concrete pouring, cutting, finishing, and stucco application
• Support carpentry activities such as trim carpentry, caulking, flooring installation, tile laying, and plastering
• Follow all safety protocols and workplace safety regulations to ensure a secure environment for everyone on site
• Assist with renovation and restoration projects by performing demolition, surface preparation, and finishing work

Qualifications

• Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and technical specifications accurately
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, concrete forms, rebar installation techniques, and concrete finishing processes
• Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
• Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and work in various weather conditions for extended periods
• Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Pay: $24.03 - $28.94 per hour
