Construction Laborer

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including layout and material staging
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to perform tasks such as concrete mixing, cutting, pouring, and finishing
• Support carpentry activities including framing, drywall installation, trim carpentry, and formwork construction
• Help with concrete work such as rebar installation, concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, and pumping
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of construction plans and specifications
• Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure work environment for all team members
• Perform heavy lifting and manual labor tasks required for renovation, restoration, masonry, roofing, stucco application, tile laying, flooring installation, and other trades

Qualifications

• Proven experience working on construction projects or in a related trade environment
• Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are highly desirable
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings accurately
• Knowledge of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, and heavy equipment operation
• Experience with rebar installation, concrete forming and finishing, framing carpentry (including metal stud framing), drywall installation, plastering, caulking, trim carpentry, masonry, welding, roofing, tile laying or flooring is preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently in various weather conditions
• Valid driver’s license for commercial driving or operating heavy equipment is a plus
• Strong teamwork ethic with excellent communication skills

Pay: $24.76 - $29.82 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 40.0 per week
