Construction Laborer

Duties

• Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
• Perform heavy lifting and manual labor such as moving supplies, equipment, and debris safely and efficiently
• Operate hand tools and power tools to support tasks like framing, drywall installation, and concrete finishing
• Support concrete-related activities including pouring, cutting, finishing, and pumping concrete according to project specifications
• Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of tasks
• Install rebar, construct formwork, and carry out masonry work as directed by supervisors or lead workers
• Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations to maintain a secure environment for everyone on site

Qualifications

• Prior experience working on construction projects or in a similar labor-intensive environment is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential
• Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating processes are advantageous
• Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and blueprint specifications accurately
• Knowledge of various construction trades such as carpentry, roofing, stucco, drywall, tile laying, flooring installation, metal stud framing, masonry, plastering, restoration, and heavy lifting techniques
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction work
• Understanding of concrete forming, cutting, pouring, finishing, and concrete pumping processes
• Commitment to adhering to all safety regulations including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials

Pay: $25.33 - $30.51 per hour
