Construction Laborer

Job Summary

Your mechanical knowledge and ability to interpret technical drawings will be key assets as you contribute to the successful completion of diverse projects, from renovations to large-scale builds. Duties

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of construction sites, including moving materials and equipment.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and concrete mixers safely and efficiently to support various tasks such as concrete pouring, cutting, finishing, and formwork construction.
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to understand project specifications for tasks like rebar installation, framing, masonry, drywall installation, and tile laying.
• Perform heavy lifting of materials such as concrete blocks, rebar, lumber, and other supplies while adhering to safety protocols.
• Support concrete-related activities including concrete pumping, concrete cutting, finishing, and formwork construction.
• Install various building components such as stucco, trim carpentry, flooring, and caulking in accordance with blueprint specifications.
• Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe environment for yourself and your teammates.

Experience

• Prior experience working on construction projects or in a construction workplace setting is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems relevant to construction tasks is a plus.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes can be advantageous but is not required.
• Hands-on experience with blueprint reading and interpretation of technical drawings is essential for understanding project requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively on renovation or restoration projects.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, masonry equipment, and concrete mixers in a fast-paced environment.
• Understanding of construction safety regulations and protocols ensures compliance at all times.

Pay: $25.18 - $30.32 per hour

Expected hours: 18.0 – 38.0 per week
