Construction Laborer

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including layout and material staging
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as concrete mixers and pumps safely and effectively
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to support accurate execution of tasks
• Perform concrete forming, pouring, finishing, cutting, and sealing to create durable surfaces
• Install rebar, metal studs, drywall, stucco, tile, flooring, and other materials according to specifications
• Conduct masonry work including bricklaying, stonework, and restoration projects as needed
• Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations and ensure a safe environment for all team members

Qualifications

• Prior experience working on construction projects or in a related trade is highly desirable but not mandatory; we provide training for motivated newcomers
• Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are a plus
• Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and blueprint specifications accurately
• Knowledge of concrete work including mixing, pouring, finishing, cutting, pumping, and formwork construction
• Experience with masonry, carpentry (including metal stud framing), drywall installation, plastering, caulking, and flooring installation is preferred
• Comfortable with heavy lifting and working on active construction sites while adhering to safety regulations
• Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail and teamwork skills

Pay: $25.60 - $29.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 38.0 per week
