Construction Laborer

Duties

• Assist in the construction, installation, and repair of structures using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment.
• Prepare sites by clearing debris, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Perform concrete work including pouring, finishing, cutting, and formwork construction to create durable foundations and surfaces.
• Install rebar, metal studs, drywall, stucco, and other materials according to blueprints and technical drawings.
• Operate concrete mixers, pumps, and other heavy machinery safely to facilitate efficient project completion.
• Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate execution of specifications.
• Follow all safety regulations related to construction workplace safety standards to maintain a secure environment for everyone on site.

Skills

• Mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation.
• Experience with construction estimating processes and understanding of construction plans.
• Proficiency in working with heavy lifting techniques and heavy equipment operation.
• Skilled in blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and technical drawing comprehension.
• Knowledge of concrete forming, pouring, finishing, cutting, and rebar installation techniques.
• Familiarity with various trades including carpentry (trim carpentry), masonry, roofing, drywall installation, plastering, restoration work, flooring installation, and metal stud framing.
• Ability to adhere strictly to construction site safety protocols while managing multiple tasks efficiently.

Pay: $26.42 - $31.82 per hour
