Construction Laborer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of building and renovating structures, supporting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards. Your energy and attention to detail will help bring construction plans to life while adhering to all safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various aspects of construction work, from foundational tasks to finishing touches.

Duties

• Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
• Perform heavy lifting of materials such as rebar, concrete forms, and heavy equipment components in accordance with safety protocols
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and concrete mixers safely to support tasks like concrete pouring, cutting, finishing, and formwork construction
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately execute assigned tasks
• Install rebar and metal stud framing for structural support in various projects
• Support concrete work including formwork construction, pouring, finishing, cutting, and pumping operations
• Help with the installation of exterior finishes such as stucco, tile laying, caulking, and plastering while maintaining high-quality standards
• Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe environment for everyone on site
• Assist with the interpretation of blueprint specifications to ensure precise execution of project requirements
• Conduct site clean-up activities and prepare surfaces for subsequent phases of construction

Qualifications

• Prior experience working on construction projects or in a similar labor-intensive environment is highly preferred
• Basic mechanical knowledge related to construction tools and equipment operation
• Familiarity with blueprint reading and interpretation of technical drawings
• Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, and concrete pumping processes
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently throughout the workday
• Understanding of construction workplace safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols at all times
• Experience with carpentry skills such as metal stud framing or formwork is a plus
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, saws, drills, and other relevant equipment
• Strong work ethic with the ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while working independently or as part of a team

Pay: $25.59 - $30.81 per hour
