Job Description

CCS Construction Staffing is seeking dependable and hardworking Construction Laborers to support construction projects in Charlotte, NC. The successful candidate will assist skilled tradespeople, prepare job sites, handle construction materials, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.

This position is suited to candidates who enjoy hands-on work, follow safety instructions, and can work effectively with supervisors and construction crews to complete projects on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction sites by moving materials, tools, and equipment.
• Assist carpenters, electricians, plumbers, and other skilled tradespeople as assigned.
• Load, unload, carry, and organize construction materials.
• Help set up and remove temporary barriers, work areas, and equipment.
• Clean and maintain construction sites to reduce hazards.
• Use basic hand tools safely and follow supervisor instructions.
• Assist with material handling, demolition, and general site preparation.
• Identify and report unsafe conditions or damaged equipment.
• Follow applicable workplace safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.
• Work with crew members to meet project deadlines and daily production goals.

Requirements

• Ability to perform physical labor, including standing, bending, and lifting within job requirements.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Commitment to workplace safety and teamwork.
• Previous construction or general labor experience is preferred but may not be required.
• Familiarity with basic hand tools is an advantage.
• OSHA training or certification may be preferred or required for certain projects.
