Construction Laborer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated, dependable, and hardworking Granite & Stone Fabrication Laborer to join our team. In this role, you will assist with the fabrication, handling, preparation, and installation of granite, quartz, marble, and other natural and engineered stone materials. You will work alongside experienced fabricators and installers to ensure every project meets our standards for quality, precision, and safety.

The ideal candidate is comfortable performing physical labor, using hand and power tools, measuring materials, and working in a fast-paced fabrication shop and installation environment. Responsibilities

• Assist with the fabrication and preparation of granite, quartz, marble, and other stone slabs for countertops, vanities, backsplashes, and other custom projects.
• Safely handle, lift, move, and transport heavy stone slabs, countertop pieces, and fabrication materials.
• Assist with cutting, grinding, polishing, edging, and finishing stone surfaces under the direction of experienced fabricators.
• Measure and mark stone materials accurately using a tape measure and other measuring tools.
• Help prepare materials for fabrication according to project specifications, measurements, and shop drawings.
• Operate and maintain hand tools and power tools used in stone fabrication, following all safety procedures.
• Assist with countertop loading, unloading, delivery, and on-site installation as needed.
• Help align, level, secure, and fit stone countertops and other stone products during installation.
• Assist with seam preparation, adhesive application, caulking, and finishing work to achieve a clean, professional result.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe fabrication shop, including workstations, tools, equipment, and material storage areas.
• Inspect materials for visible defects, damage, or imperfections and report concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow proper procedures for handling stone, operating equipment, controlling dust, and preventing workplace injuries.
• Work collaboratively with fabricators, installers, and team members to complete projects accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

Qualifications & Skills

• Ability to read a tape measure and accurately understand basic measurements.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and general shop equipment.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, and maneuver heavy stone materials with appropriate equipment and team assistance.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Willingness to learn stone cutting, grinding, polishing, edging, and countertop fabrication techniques.
• Ability to follow instructions, read basic shop drawings, and understand project specifications.
• Knowledge of granite, quartz, marble, and other countertop materials is a plus.
• Previous experience in stone fabrication, countertop installation, construction, manufacturing, or a similar hands-on environment is preferred but not required.
• Understanding of workplace safety practices, including proper material handling, tool operation, and dust control.
• Dependable, punctual, team-oriented, and willing to take direction in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to perform physical tasks and remain on your feet for extended periods.

Pay: $25.10 - $30.23 per hour
