Construction Laborer

Duties

• Assist in the preparation and setup of construction sites, including layout and material staging
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as concrete mixers and concrete pumps safely and efficiently
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of tasks
• Perform concrete forming, pouring, finishing, cutting, and rebar installation to create sturdy foundations and structures
• Construct formwork for concrete projects and execute metal stud framing for interior walls
• Install various exterior finishes such as stucco, tile, plastering, and caulking to enhance building aesthetics
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks while adhering strictly to safety protocols and workplace safety regulations
• Support the installation of hardscape features like patios or walkways using construction estimating skills for material efficiency
• Safely operate equipment for concrete cutting, concrete finishing, and concrete pouring to ensure quality results
• Interpret construction plans and specifications accurately to meet project requirements

Experience

• Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades such as carpentry or masonry is highly valued
• Familiarity with construction workplace safety regulations and proper use of hand tools and power tools is essential
• Knowledge of concrete forming, rebar installation, stucco application, tile laying, and metal stud framing is preferred
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings with confidence to interpret specifications correctly
• Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining high standards of safety protocol adherence
• Experience with construction estimating or project support tasks is a plus but not mandatory
• Strong work ethic with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $25.60 - $30.82 per hour

Expected hours: 29.0 – 38.0 per week
