Construction Laborer

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy machinery such as concrete mixers, concrete pumps, and cutting saws to facilitate construction activities
• Support the installation of rebar, metal stud framing, formwork construction, and concrete pouring to ensure structural integrity
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans to accurately execute tasks according to specifications
• Perform tasks related to concrete finishing, cutting, pouring, and formwork construction while adhering to safety standards
• Carry out demolition, renovation work, drywall installation, plastering, caulking, stucco application, tile laying, and other finishing tasks as needed
• Follow all construction workplace safety regulations diligently and participate in safety training sessions to maintain a secure environment for everyone on site

Qualifications

• Prior experience working on construction projects or in a similar labor-intensive environment is highly preferred
• Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous for understanding project scope and requirements
• Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, and other construction equipment
• Knowledge of concrete forming techniques, rebar installation, concrete cutting, pouring, finishing, and pumping processes
• Understanding of construction site safety regulations and the importance of adhering to safety protocols at all times
• Physical capability for heavy lifting, prolonged standing or walking on uneven surfaces, and working in various weather conditions
• Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills and supporting team members
