Construction Laborer

Job Summary

As a Construction Laborer, you’ll help build, repair, and renovate structures and outdoor spaces. You’ll prepare work areas, handle materials, and support concrete, carpentry, and hardscape tasks while following construction plans and workplace safety regulations. This hands-on role calls for physical stamina, careful tool use, and a team-focused approach. Heavy lifting and work in changing site conditions are part of the job.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sites, move materials, and operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment as assigned.
• Support concrete forming, formwork construction, rebar installation, concrete mixing, pouring, pumping, cutting, and finishing.
• Assist with carpentry, metal stud framing, flooring installation, plastering, stucco, caulking, and renovation work.
• Read blueprints and construction plans; interpret technical drawings and specifications to complete tasks accurately.
• Follow safety protocols, maintain an orderly work area, and coordinate with the crew.

Skills

• Essential: Construction experience or construction site experience, ability to perform heavy lifting, and consistent adherence to construction workplace safety regulations.
• Practical knowledge of hand and power tools, concrete mixers, concrete work, and mechanical basics.
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret blueprint specifications and technical drawings, and follow construction plans.
• Familiarity with carpentry, hardscape, formwork, rebar, and common renovation tasks.
• Construction estimating and heavy equipment operation are useful additional skills.

Pay: $24.80 - $29.86 per hour

Expected hours: 18.0 – 33.0 per week
