Construction Laborer

Job Overview

As a Construction Laborer, you’ll support construction, renovation, hardscape, and restoration projects from site preparation through finishing. You’ll use hand and power tools, assist skilled tradespeople, and help keep work moving safely and efficiently. Duties may include concrete work, carpentry, masonry, drywall, flooring, and tile installation, depending on project needs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction sites, move materials, perform heavy lifting, and maintain orderly work areas in line with construction workplace safety regulations.
• Assist with concrete forming, formwork construction, rebar installation, concrete mixing, pouring, pumping, cutting, and finishing.
• Support frame and trim carpentry, drywall, caulking, stucco, masonry, flooring installation, and tile laying.
• Read construction plans and blueprints; interpret technical drawings and blueprint specifications to guide assigned tasks.
• Operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and concrete mixers; follow established safety procedures on construction projects.

Qualifications

• Construction experience or construction site experience is preferred; experience working on construction projects, renovation, or restoration is an asset.
• Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with carpentry, hardscape, concrete work, or masonry are helpful.
• Ability to read blueprints, interpret construction plans and technical drawings, and support construction estimating is an asset.
• Able to perform physical tasks, including heavy lifting, and adhere consistently to safety protocols.
• Willingness to learn project-specific methods and work collaboratively with a construction crew.

Pay: $26.46 - $31.87 per hour

Expected hours: 21.0 – 36.0 per week
