Location: Koloa, HI - on-site work and local driving, primarily in the Koloa-Poipu area

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience

Hawaiian Design + Build is hiring a Construction Laborer/Driver who shows up, works safely, and follows through. Our team brings design and construction together in the Koloa area. In this role, you'll support construction crews while handling local driving and material transport duties.

About the Role

This position combines construction labor with driving responsibilities. You'll help keep sites organized, assist with materials, and use a company flatbed truck for work-related transport. Some assignments require you to work independently. A valid driver's license, clean driving record, and dependable attendance are essential. The work is physical and can be dirty. It includes loading and unloading materials, lifting up to 50 pounds, and climbing ladders, including tall ladders. Candidates must be able to perform these duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the company flatbed truck safely for assigned work tasks.
• Transport materials and supplies needed for construction projects.
• Load and unload the truck safely.
• Assist construction crews with general labor tasks.
• Move and organize materials at job sites.
• Help clean sites and remove construction debris.
• Use ladders safely when assigned work requires them.
• Complete independent assignments and communicate progress or problems.
• Follow site instructions and safe work practices.

Required Qualifications

• A valid driver's license and a driving record that meets company vehicle insurance requirements.
• Ability to provide a driving record abstract when requested as part of the hiring process.
• Safe driving habits and the ability to handle assigned truck duties.
• Reliable attendance and ability to get to work in the Koloa area.
• Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks independently.
• Willingness to perform hands-on work in dirty construction conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, load and unload materials, and climb ladders, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Pay and Benefits

• W-2 employment
• Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour, based on experience.
• A company flatbed truck is used for assigned driving duties.
• The company offers a benefits package; eligibility and specific benefits for this position will be discussed during hiring.
• Full-time position, generally Monday through Friday. Work hours may vary based on project needs.
