Construction Labourer

About the role

QMR Constructions Pty Ltd is seeking a dedicated and hard-working Construction Labourer to join our team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for construction work to contribute to delivering quality at our newly started development site at Woolgoolga NSW 2456. As a Construction Labourer, you will play a vital role in ensuring our project runs smoothly and safely, supporting the Site Manager and skilled trades and contributing to the successful completion of construction sites.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain construction sites, including clearing debris, organising materials and equipment storage
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively under supervision
• Load and unload materials and equipment from vehicles and move items around the site as required
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and maintain a clean and safe working environment
• Help with site cleanup and waste disposal at the end of each working day
• Communicate effectively with team members and report any issues or hazards to supervisors
• Support the team in meeting project deadlines and quality standards

About you

• Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour in various weather conditions
• A genuine interest in the construction industry and willingness to learn new skills
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic
• A commitment to health and safety practices on site
• Basic understanding of construction site procedures and practices
• Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
• White card is mandatory
• Valid driver's licence is preferred
• Forklift or Telehandler licence would be an advantage
