Construction Labourer

Maguire Excavating Ltd is currently seeking individuals for construction labour to work in our well established company. We are a civil excavation contractor located in Saint John, New Brunswick. Our customers are commercial, institutional and industrial as well as residential. We offer competitive wages and a safe work environment. Working hours would usually be 8 to 10 hours, Monday to Friday. Hourly rate is depending on experience level.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with site preparation, including clearing, grading, and setting up work areas for excavation, concrete, and asphalt projects

• Perform pipe laying and assist with trenching, bedding, and backfilling in accordance with project specifications

• Assist with landscape installation and site restoration

• Operate basic hand tools and small equipment safely and effectively

• Support traffic control and site safety measures when required

• Conduct work in compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable regulations

• Assist other crew members as needed to support overall project completion

Requirements:

• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and adherence to established safety procedures and policies

• Ability to work with others to ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard

• Willingness and ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and varying job site environments

• Valid driver’s license and previous work in the construction industry would be an asset

• Dependable, punctual, and hardworking with a positive attitude

• Relevant hands on experience and professional references will be the primary factors considered during the selection process.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
