Construction Labourer

Full-time | Immediate start | £130–£160 per day, depending on experience

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our small, friendly building team.

We would ideally like someone with previous experience working on residential building sites, but experience is not essential. If you are reliable, have a good attitude, are willing to learn and take pride in your work, we would be happy to consider someone looking to get started in the construction industry.

About the role

The role will involve working on residential building projects across Caversham, Reading, Henley-on-Thames and Wallingford.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will vary, but will include:

• Keeping building sites clean, tidy and organised
• Clearing up and removing waste and debris
• Moving and handling building materials
• Assisting skilled tradesmen and other members of the team
• Loading and unloading materials
• Helping with general labouring and site duties
• Following instructions from management and experienced tradesmen
• Using your own initiative to identify jobs that need doing and keeping yourself productive

We are looking for someone who is not afraid of hard work, has plenty of energy and takes a positive approach to getting the job done.

Previous construction experience is preferred but not essential. We are happy to give the right person the opportunity to learn and develop their skills on the job.

Pay

£130–£160 per day, depending on experience and ability.

An experienced labourer who can work confidently and independently will be paid towards the top end of the range. For the right inexperienced candidate, we are happy to start at the lower end and provide the opportunity to develop.
