Construction Labourer

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Construction Labourer to join our team and contribute to various building and renovation projects. This role involves assisting skilled tradespeople with site preparation, material handling, and basic construction tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and an interest in construction trades. Prior experience in construction or related fields is a plus but not mandatory, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills across multiple aspects of construction work.

Responsibilities

• Assist with site setup, including unloading materials and preparing work areas
• Use hand tools for various tasks such as cutting, measuring, and assembling components
• Support carpentry activities, including framing, drywall installation, and finishing
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to assist with project execution
• Perform tasks related to drywall installation, caulking, painting, and restoration work
• Support plumbing and welding tasks as needed under supervision
• Assist with flooring installation and tile laying projects
• Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment
• Maintain cleanliness of the work site and ensure tools are properly stored after use

Skills

• Proficiency with hand tools and basic construction equipment
• Prior experience in construction or related trades is advantageous but not required
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Knowledge of drywall installation, caulking, painting, plumbing, welding, flooring, and tile laying techniques
• Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different construction tasks

Pay: $18.14-$31.19 per hour
