Construction Lawyer

Our client is a well-established boutique law firm with an outstanding reputation for delivering commercially focused legal advice across New Zealand. Known for its supportive culture and high calibre of work, the firm partners with a broad range of public and private sector clients on significant infrastructure and commercial developments.

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has become available for an Associate or Senior Associate to join their expanding Construction team.
This is a predominantly front-end construction role, advising clients throughout the lifecycle of major projects. You will have the opportunity to work on complex and large-scale infrastructure initiatives. While the focus is front-end work, experience or an interest in supporting construction litigation matters would be highly regarded as the team continues to grow.

About you:

• 5+ years' PQE (or equivalent) in construction law
• Strong experience drafting and negotiating construction contracts
• Commercially minded with excellent relationship-building skills
• Ability to manage matters independently while working collaboratively within a team
• Construction disputes or litigation exposure would be advantageous
