Duties

• Operate and maintain 3D laser scanning equipment to capture detailed as-built data of construction sites and existing structures.
• Process and analyze point cloud data using software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, MicroStation, or 3ds Max to create accurate 3D models.
• Develop construction layout plans and schematics based on BIM models, ensuring precise placement of structural elements on-site.
• Collaborate with project teams to integrate scanned data into design workflows using CAD software like ArchiCAD, SolidWorks, or System design tools.
• Conduct building code analysis and verify compliance through detailed review of digital models and construction documentation.
• Support construction detail documentation by translating BIM data into clear drawings and schematics for field use.
• Perform on-site 3D scanning surveys for system design validation and interior or mechanical design verification.
• Assist in building information modeling (BIM) coordination efforts to streamline project workflows from design through construction phases.

Requirements

• Proven experience with CAD software such as AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, ArchiCAD, or similar platforms; familiarity with 3D modeling software including SketchUp, Rhino 3D, Grasshopper 3D, or 3ds Max is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, building code compliance, and construction detail documentation standards.
• Hands-on experience with laser scanning hardware and point cloud data processing tools.
• Ability to interpret architectural drawings, schematics, engineering CAD designs, and BIM models accurately.
• Skilled in building information modeling (BIM) tools for system design and project coordination.
• Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in 3D CAD modeling and drafting tasks.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, architects, and field personnel.
• Prior experience in construction or related technical fields is preferred; knowledge of building code analysis is a plus.

Pay: $26.03 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 70.0 per week
