About Us
Camas Creek Contracting (CCC) is a commercial general contractor that has been building across the Flathead Valley and Northwest Montana for over 17 years. We self-perform much of our work and run lean, experienced crews on projects ranging from community buildings and agricultural/processing facilities to tenant improvements, concrete, and site and excavation work. We’re looking for a hands-on superintendent who wants to lead from the field.

The Role
This is a working super position. You’ll run the job site day to day and swing a hammer alongside the crew. You’ll own schedule, quality, and safety on your projects, coordinate subs and deliveries, and be the PM’s eyes and ears in the field.

Responsibilities

• Run daily site operations on commercial projects from mobilization through closeout
• Work on the tools with the crew: layout, concrete/forming, framing, rough and finish carpentry, doors/hardware, and general trade work
• Build and maintain the 2–3 week look-ahead; coordinate subcontractors, inspections, and material deliveries
• Read and interpret plans and specs; catch conflicts early and flag RFIs to the PM
• Keep daily logs, photos, and time entry current (we use JobTread)
• Run site safety: toolbox talks, PPE, housekeeping, and OSHA compliance
• Hold quality standards and work through punch lists and closeout
• Communicate professionally with owners, architects, engineers, and inspectors
• Mentor and direct carpenters and laborers

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial construction experience, with at least 2 years running work as a lead or superintendent
• Strong carpentry and concrete background; able to self-perform
• Solid plan reading and layout skills (transit/laser, building layout)
• Working knowledge of building codes and the inspection process
• Organized and able to manage schedule, subs, and paperwork without being micromanaged
• Comfortable with basic tech: phone/tablet apps, email, digital plans
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and your own hand tools
• Able to work outdoors in Montana weather and travel to rural job sites in the region (Polebridge, Trego, and so on)
