Construction Lead

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Lead to oversee and coordinate large-scale construction projects from inception to completion. This role is vital in ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and within scope, budget, and schedule. As a Construction Lead, you will manage teams, interpret technical drawings, review construction schedules, and ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. Your leadership will drive project success while maintaining high-quality standards across all phases of construction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage construction teams on-site, supervising daily activities to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.
• Review and interpret complex construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to guide project execution.
• Develop, coordinate, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or similar construction management software to ensure timely delivery.
• Oversee the preparation and review of construction estimates, budgets, and contracts to align with project scope and client expectations.
• Ensure compliance with federal construction safety regulations such as OSHA, managing safety protocols across all site activities.
• Coordinate with project stakeholders to facilitate smooth communication regarding project progress, schedule adjustments, and issue resolution.
• Supervise subcontractors and crew members, managing team performance while fostering a collaborative work environment focused on quality control and safety.

Requirements

• Proven experience in heavy civil or commercial construction management roles with a strong background in managing large teams on active sites.
• Proficiency in construction management software including ProCore, Bluebeam, Prolog, Primavera P6, HeavyBid, and other relevant tools.
• Extensive knowledge of construction regulations, safety standards (OSHA), blueprint reading, project scheduling, and cost estimating.
• Hands-on experience supervising construction sites with a focus on quality assurance and safety compliance.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and coordinate construction schedules effectively.
• Strong managerial communication skills with the ability to lead teams efficiently while managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with managing contracts and understanding of federal construction safety regulations is highly desirable.
• Valid OSHA certification along with experience in pipeline projects or infrastructure development is a plus.
