Construction Lead

Overview

We are a small team that services all of NWI. We are looking to add a Construction Lead to help build our local home services company from the ground up. My right hand really. I have the businesses, equipment, and know how to grow this from a small company into a large scale business.

This is a true startup, as the company is less than 1 yr old. In the beginning, there will not be layers of management, large teams, or established systems. We need someone willing to hustle, solve problems, help grow the customer base, perform field work, and help build and transition the operations into a scalable business.

One day may involve marketing: putting out door hangers, passing out flyers, talking with customers, estimates, and helping close jobs. Another day may involve performing the work: demo work, handyman services, power washing a house, mowing lawns, cleaning trash bins, removing pet waste, hauling junk, moving a customer, or helping a customer with miscellaneous tasks around town.

Our mindset is simple: “If the customer needs help and it fits our services, we figure it out.”

This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow with a company, take ownership, and eventually help lead a full team as the business expands.

Compensation includes a guaranteed base salary plus profit-sharing opportunities tied directly to company growth and performance.

Responsibilities:

Build the Business

• Help grow the business through grassroots marketing efforts
• Assist with sales conversations, estimates, and customer follow-up
• Help identify opportunities for new services and revenue growthPerform

Field Work

• Perform home service jobs as needed, including:
• Construction
• Pressure washing
• Lawn care
• Dog waste removal
• Trash bin cleaning
• Junk removal
• General labor and handyman-type tasks
• Maintain high-quality workmanship and strong customer service standards
• Safely operate equipment, tools, trailers, and vehicles

Operations & Leadership

• Help create systems, processes, and operational standards as the company grows
• Assist with scheduling, route planning, customer communication, and job coordination
• Recruit, train, and manage future employees as the business scales
• Lead by example with a strong work ethic and positive attitude

Customer Experience

• Build strong relationships with customers and community members
• Represent the company professionally at all times
• Maintain a “whatever it takes” attitude to help customers solve problems

Qualifications

• Strong work ethic and willingness to perform hands-on labor daily
• Comfortable working in a startup environment where responsibilities change frequently
• Experience in home services, landscaping, pressure washing, maintenance, construction, moving, or similar industries preferred
• Sales mindset and willingness to help grow the business
• Comfortable speaking with customers and generating leads
• Ability to work independently and solve problems without constant direction
• Clean driving record required
• Ability to lift, work outdoors, and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
• Truck ownership is strongly preferred
• Experience operating trailers, lawn equipment, pressure washers, or related equipment is a plus
