About Lowe Property Group

Lowe Property Group develops multifamily projects throughout Utah. We build thoughtfully planned communities that balance quality construction, long-term value, and an exceptional resident experience.

We are seeking a Construction Management Associate to support the construction, turnover, and warranty phases of our development projects. This role works directly with the Manager of Design & Construction and offers broad exposure to the development process. It is an excellent opportunity for construction professionals who want to move to the owner/developer side of the industry.

Position Summary

The Construction Management Associate is a key member of the development team, supporting construction administration, quality control, cost and schedule tracking, and warranty support. The ideal candidate reads construction documents fluently, enjoys solving field problems, and works well with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, tenants, and ownership. The role combines office-based project coordination with frequent construction site visits.

Key Responsibilities:

Construction Administration & Quality Control

  • Attend Owner-Architect-Contractor (OAC) meetings, track action items, and monitor project progress.
  • Conduct regular site walks to verify construction quality and conformance with contract documents.
  • Track and help resolve RFIs, submittals, field reports, and shop drawings with the contractor and consultant team.
  • Review change order requests and pay applications for scope, pricing, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain project logs, meeting minutes, photo documentation, and field reports.
  • Assist with punch lists, closeout documentation, O&M manuals, warranties, and project turnover.

Cost, Schedule & Risk

  • Track construction schedules and flag delays, sequencing conflicts, and milestone risks.
  • Help monitor project budgets, contingency usage, and committed costs.
  • Identify risks to budget, quality, and schedule and recommend solutions.

Project Management Support

  • Assist with contractor and consultant coordination, project schedules, and project reporting.
  • Support building permit, inspection, and agency coordination efforts.
  • Prepare project updates and presentations for ownership.
  • Support pre-construction planning, constructability input, and due diligence for future developments.

Retail & Tenant Coordination

  • Review tenant construction scopes and submittals for compliance with landlord requirements and building systems.

Warranty & Property Support

  • Track warranty issues and contractor responsibilities after project completion.
  • Coordinate with property operations teams and contractors to resolve outstanding items.
  • Support post-occupancy reviews and carry lessons learned into future projects.

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience as a project engineer or in construction management, owner's representation, or development.
  • Strong understanding of construction documents, means and methods, and building systems.
  • Ability to identify and coordinate technical construction issues in the field.
  • Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Preferred

  • Experience with multifamily, mixed-use, office, hospitality, or retail projects.
  • Project engineer experience with a commercial general contractor.
  • Experience with scheduling software such as Microsoft Project.
  • Familiarity with building permits, inspections, and local agency processes.

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate is:

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • A strong technical reviewer and problem solver in the field.
  • Comfortable working with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, tenants, and ownership teams.
  • Passionate about construction quality and execution.
  • Proactive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented.
  • A strong relationship builder who values long-term partnerships with contractors, consultants, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Able to represent ownership interests while keeping productive working relationships and a team-oriented project environment.
  • Someone who enjoys helping others succeed and knows that successful projects are built through collaboration and communication.
