Construction Management Officer

About the role

The Construction Management Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring construction projects to ensure timely completion, cost efficiency, quality standards, and compliance with safety and regulatory requirements. The role involves supervising project activities, coordinating with contractors and consultants, and ensuring that project objectives are achieved.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and oversee construction projects from inception to completion
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and progress to ensure timely delivery
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and other stakeholders regarding project requirements and updates
• Review plans, specifications, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project standards and regulations
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality, safety, and adherence to approved plans
• Prepare and submit project reports, progress updates, and documentation
• Evaluate contractors' performance and recommend corrective actions when necessary
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety and health standards and other applicable laws and regulations
• Assist in project costing, procurement, and contract administration
• Identify project risks and implement measures to mitigate delays and cost overruns
