CONSTRUCTION MANAGER

About the role

Join Artans Construction Sdn Bhd as a Construction Manager and play a key role in overseeing the successful delivery of construction projects in the Pengerang, Johor region. As a full-time professional, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of construction operations, from planning and resourcing to project execution and quality control.

What you'll be doing

1. Manage and coordinate all construction activities, including project planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, procurement, and resource allocation to ensure smooth project execution.
2. Oversee daily site operations, ensuring construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project timelines.
3. Liaise closely with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain effective communication and resolve issues promptly.
4. Monitor project progress, site productivity, and milestones; identify potential delays, risks, or technical issues and implement timely corrective actions.
5. Ensure full compliance with relevant building codes, local authority requirements, environmental regulations, and workplace safety standards (HSE/OSH).
6. Lead, manage, and mentor site teams, engineers, supervisors, and other construction personnel to foster a positive, high-performance, and safety-focused work environment.
7. Review construction methods, materials, and work processes to improve efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
8. Prepare and present progress reports, budgets, forecasts, and recommendations to senior management regarding project feasibility, design coordination, and execution strategies.
9. Oversee testing, inspections, project completion, and handover to ensure successful delivery to clients.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Manager or in a similar senior construction role.
• Proven track record of successfully managing complex construction projects from inception to completion.
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment, as well as relevant building codes and regulations
• Excellent project management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Ability to lead and motivate construction teams to deliver high-quality work
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Prior experience in the Oil & Gas industry will be considered an added advantage.
