Construction Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join a major hotel development project in the Maldives. This is a site-based role requiring a strong track record of delivering complex hospitality and resort developments, ideally within challenging island environments.

The Role

The Construction Manager will take responsibility for the on-site delivery and construction management of the development, coordinating contractors, consultants, subcontractors and project stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage day-to-day construction activities on site.
• Oversee the delivery of major hotel/resort development works from construction through completion.
• Coordinate main contractors, subcontractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Monitor programme, progress, quality and construction standards.
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Manage site resources, logistics and construction sequencing.
• Identify and resolve construction issues and coordinate technical solutions.
• Maintain strong health, safety and environmental standards across the site.
• Work closely with the Project Director and wider project management team.
• Provide regular progress updates and support programme and risk management.

Requirements

• 10+ years' construction experience , with significant experience in a Construction Manager or similar senior site delivery role.
• Strong experience delivering hotel, resort or luxury hospitality developments .
• Previous experience working on island, remote or logistically challenging projects is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of hands-on on-site project delivery .
• Strong knowledge of construction processes, sequencing, quality and site management.
• Experience coordinating multiple contractors and project stakeholders.
• Degree or relevant construction-related qualification preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work in a challenging, remote site environment.
