Construction Manager

About the role

Dong Jian (Singapore) Pte Ltd is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team in the Springleaf North Region. This is a full-time position that plays a critical role in overseeing construction projects from inception through completion. As Construction Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is essential to maintaining our reputation for excellence in the construction industry and directly impacts the success of our operations in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Planning, organising and coordinating all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting and resource allocation
• Monitoring project progress and ensuring compliance with project timelines, budgets and quality standards
• Managing site operations, including supervision of contractors, subcontractors and labour forces
• Conducting regular site inspections to ensure work meets specifications and regulatory requirements
• Liaising with clients, architects, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and alignment on project objectives
• Identifying and resolving project issues, risks and delays in a timely manner
• Maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including reports, permits and compliance records
• Ensuring all health and safety regulations are adhered to on site
• Managing variations and change orders whilst maintaining project profitability
• Preparing and presenting progress reports to senior management and clients

What we're looking for

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Construction Manager or similar senior construction role
• Strong knowledge of construction project management principles, methodologies and best practices
• Proven experience in managing projects of varying complexity and scale
• Excellent understanding of construction contracts, procurement and cost management
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and manage diverse teams effectively
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Knowledge of relevant construction regulations, safety standards and compliance requirements
• Problem-solving capabilities and the ability to make decisions under pressure
• Relevant professional qualifications such as Diploma in Construction Management or equivalent experience is highly desirable
