Project: Major Construction Project

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Construction Manager to join a major construction project in the Middlesbrough area.

The successful candidate will oversee on-site construction activities, coordinate site teams and contractors, and ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with the project programme and required standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and coordinating day-to-day construction activities on site
• Supervising site teams, contractors and subcontractors
• Monitoring progress against the construction programme
• Coordinating construction activities to ensure the efficient delivery of the works
• Working closely with the Project Manager and wider project team
• Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications and project requirements
• Monitoring quality and ensuring construction standards are maintained
• Identifying and addressing site issues and construction-related risks
• Ensuring health and safety requirements are followed across site activities
• Attending site meetings and providing regular progress updates

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Construction Manager within the construction sector
• Strong experience managing construction activities on major projects
• Experience within industrial, civils, infrastructure or similar construction environments
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, processes and site management
• Ability to manage contractors, subcontractors and site teams effectively
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Ability to work to project programmes and deadlines
• Right to work in the UK
