Construction Manager

Compensation: Negotiable based on role and scope

Position Summary

Ecosave seeks an experienced Nevada trades professional to serve as a Qualifying Individual (QI) for its contractor licensing in electrical (C-2) or refrigeration and air-conditioning (C-21, including an applicable C-21B air-conditioning subclassification). We welcome candidates qualified in either trade and may appoint separate individuals for each classification. This is an immediate opportunity for a hands-on professional or a retired contractor who remains qualified and available to take an active, ongoing role. Prior energy efficiency experience is not required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Nevada Contractor’s Board-approved qualifying party for the approved Nevada classification(s), with a genuine, ongoing relationship to the licensed Ecosave entity.

• Actively supervise or oversee work within the qualified trade, with a practical supervision plan covering scope review, site involvement, subcontractor coordination, quality and code compliance, and escalation of issues.

• Review proposed work against the license classification and approved monetary limit; advise the team when additional licensing or a different classification may be required.

• Coordinate with Ecosave and its licensing representative on applications, signatures, examinations or exemptions, background materials, renewals, and updates to qualifying-party information.

• Keep clear records of QI involvement, including reviews, calls, inspections, site visits, decisions and corrective actions.

• Contribute technical input to engineering, construction management or project delivery tasks where experience and availability are a match; the extent of these additional duties is negotiable.

Required Qualifications

• Current Nevada C-2 electrical, full C-21 refrigeration and air-conditioning, or C-21B air-conditioning license or qualifying-party credential, with verified eligibility to qualify Ecosave for the matching classification, subject to Board approval. The exact classification and scope must align.

• Trade experience, knowledge, examination status and eligibility sufficient for the Board to approve the candidate as qualifying party; ability to document the applicable experience and complete required application steps promptly.

• Ability and willingness to be regularly employed by the licensed entity and actively engaged in the qualified work, with no conflicting commitment that prevents adequate supervision.

• Available to begin promptly, remain engaged through licensing and ongoing operations, and participate in Nevada site visits and reviews as reasonably required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC systems, electrical systems, building controls, retrofit construction, or oversight of licensed subcontractors.

• Exposure to project management, construction administration, estimating, safety, commissioning, or technical reviews.

• Engineering degree, PMP credential, ESCO background, and energy savings experience are welcome but not prerequisites.

• Other state certifications in the trades described above and/or other complimentary trades (e.g., electrical) are welcome but not prerequisites

Working Arrangement

Employment schedule, compensation and additional project duties will be discussed with each candidate and structured around the required qualifying-party responsibilities and Nevada Board requirements. Candidates seeking a flexible or reduced schedule, including retired professionals, are encouraged to apply if they can perform the active supervisory role.
