Construction Manager – Data Center Project

About the role

Lead large-scale data center projects from initiation to final acceptance, overseeing project delivery, financial performance, quality, and stakeholder coordination across Indonesia.

Key responsibilities

• Manage data center projects from initiation through final acceptance and project closure
• Develop and lead project execution strategies in line with contractual commitments and customer requirements
• Manage project budgets, revenue, costs, margins, and cash flow
• Establish project governance and ensure compliance with Huawei's project management processes
• Lead cross-functional teams across engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations
• Monitor project schedules, key milestones, critical risks, and escalations
• Build strong relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders
• Identify project risks, develop mitigation plans, and resolve issues throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead contract negotiations, change requests, claims, and variation orders
• Ensure compliance with quality, health, safety and environment (HSE), regulatory, and customer requirements

About you

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, Mechanical, Civil, or Telecommunication Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• At least 10 years of experience in project delivery, engineering, construction, or infrastructure projects
• 3–5 years of experience leading large-scale data center projects
• Good command of spoken and written English; fluency in Mandarin is an advantage
• PMP, PgMP, PRINCE2, or an equivalent project management certification is an advantage
• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including electrical systems, HVAC, UPS, generators, fire suppression systems, BMS, DCIM, and ICT infrastructure
• Experience managing EPC/EPCM contractors, consultants, and multiple vendors
• Strong commercial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, contract management, and cost control
• Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex project risks
