Construction Manager 工程部经理 (Haikou Based)

Location: Haikou/ Sanya, Hainan, China

Job Type: Full-time, On-site

Overall Job Purpose

We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated Construction Manager to provide overall management for our Commercial/residential projects in Haikou/Sanya.  You will ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget, to the highest quality standards, and with an impeccable safety record.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Strategy:

• Advise during the planning stage on construction programs, methods, materials, and cost-effectiveness.
• Review the contractors' construction organization, method statements, construction buildability and overall site planning.

2. Project Execution & Control:

• Develop construction programme and set up critical milestones.
• Manage and supervise all contractors, consultants and relevant parties to make sure quality, cost, time and safety are met during construction.
• In house project team management, mentoring, lead, motivate and provide supports for the whole project cycle.
• Project completion and handover to end users.
• Preparing weekly reports and necessary materials for meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

·       Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or a related field.

·       Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the construction industry in China, with at least 3 years in a managerial role (e.g., Project Manager / Construction Manager) in a reputable developer is preferred.

·       Must have full cycle of at least 1 residential or commercial complex project in China.

·       Previous experience working with a main contractor is preferred.

·       Hotel project experience in China is a must.

Skills & Competencies

·       Strong Management skill: Proven ability to lead and manage a construction team.

·       Good Communication: Outstanding command of English and Mandarin (both verbal and written). Cantonese is a plus but not required.

·       Technical Proficiency: Familiar with Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD, and project management software.

·       Proactive & Mobile: Willing to station in Haikou/Sanya and travel to project sites as required.

·       Strategic Thinker: Strong problem-solving skills
