Construction Manager (M&E)

We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to lead and coordinate construction activities for Data Center / M&E projects in Malaysia. The ideal candidate should have strong site management experience, good technical knowledge, and be able to communicate effectively in Mandarin and English.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage overall construction activities at project site.
• Plan, coordinate and monitor project progress to meet programme and project requirements.
• Supervise site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and schedules.
• Coordinate with Project Engineers, Safety Officers, Subcontractors, clients and main contractors on technical and site matters.
• Monitor M&E installation, testing and commissioning activities.
• Review drawings, method statements, material submissions and work programmes.
• Ensure construction works comply with quality, safety and project requirements.
• Identify site issues, coordinate solutions and minimise delays.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment and subcontractor performance.
• Conduct site meetings and provide regular progress updates and reports.
• Ensure proper documentation and project records are maintained.
• Support project handover, testing, commissioning and close-out activities.

Requirements

• Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant construction/site management experience.
• Experience in Data Center, M&E, industrial, commercial or large-scale construction projects is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in managing subcontractors and multiple site activities.
• Good understanding of construction methods, project coordination, drawings and site execution.
• Mandarin speaking is an advantage to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and manage site activities under tight project schedules.
• Must possess a valid CIDB Green Card.
• Willing to work at project sites and travel when required.

Pay: RM8,000.00 - RM10,000.00 per month
