Salary: S$5,500 - S$6,000
Location: TBC (based on Project)

Our client is a Japanese-listed construction company. They are currently seeking a Construction Manager (Mechanical) to join their team.

【Responsibilities】

• Lead and manage the overall project delivery, including project schedule, quality, safety, and cost control, to ensure successful completion according to plan.
• Develop project construction plans, master schedules, quality and safety plans, budgets, and risk management plans.
• Manage and oversee site installation and construction activities in accordance with approved installation methods and project requirements.
• Coordinate project schedules and site activities with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Manage and monitor the progress, quality, safety, and cost performance of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Attend meetings with clients and stakeholders and proactively resolve technical and site-related issues.
• Negotiate variations and changes with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
• Establish and maintain effective communication among project stakeholders and site teams.
• Lead, manage, coach, and develop site staff and junior team members.
• Identify areas for improvement and provide continuous guidance and training to enhance team performance.
• Proactively identify and resolve issues arising on site to ensure smooth project execution.
• Drive continuous improvement of construction methods and processes through the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle.
• Ensure compliance with relevant ISO standards, statutory requirements, codes of practice, and client requirements.
• Motivate the project team and foster a positive and collaborative working environment.

【Requirements & Preferences】

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 7+ years of mechanical installation and project management experience, with at least 3 years of project manager experience within data centre / cleanroom / laboratory / hospital / industrial / semiconductor projects
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects with contract values of SGD 10 million to SGD 100 million or above.
• Must have managed Mechanical installation projects, not purely design/consultancy roles
• Candidates should have demonstrable experience taking ownership of major projects, including installation, subcontractor management, schedule, cost, testing & commissioning and final handover.
• Building Construction Safety Supervisor (BCSS) or relevant construction safety qualification.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards.
