Job Description

Aztec Middle East Contracting LLC is seeking a highly experienced Construction Manager with proven experience in shopping mall and large-scale commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate must possess strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and extensive experience managing complex construction activities, multidisciplinary teams, and subcontractors from project execution through successful handover.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, manage, and oversee all construction activities for shopping malls and large-scale commercial developments.
• Lead and coordinate civil, structural, architectural, MEP, façade, and finishing works to ensure seamless project execution.
• Develop and implement construction schedules, execution strategies, resource plans, and site logistics.
• Supervise site engineers, supervisors, subcontractors, and construction teams to ensure productivity and quality.
• Coordinate with consultants, clients, project managers, and relevant authorities to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Ensure construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, and UAE regulations.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective measures to achieve project milestones.
• Manage subcontractor performance, manpower allocation, material availability, equipment utilization, and site productivity.
• Oversee the coordination of MEP services, fire protection systems, HVAC, vertical transportation, and other building services.
• Manage construction interfaces involving retail units, common areas, atriums, food courts, parking facilities, and back-of-house areas.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards, quality control procedures, and project-specific safety requirements.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, snagging, and final project handover.
• Prepare construction progress reports, attend project coordination meetings, and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Support project cost control, variation management, risk mitigation, and value engineering initiatives.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum 10–15 years of experience in the construction industry, including substantial experience in shopping mall or large-scale commercial projects.
• Proven experience in the construction and successful delivery of shopping mall projects is essential.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior site management or construction management position.
• Strong technical knowledge of civil, structural, architectural, MEP coordination, and high-quality finishing works.
• Demonstrated experience managing large construction teams, multiple subcontractors, and complex project interfaces.
• Strong understanding of construction planning, sequencing, project scheduling, and resource management.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Primavera P6/MS Project, and MS Office.
• Familiarity with UAE building regulations, authority approvals, quality standards, and HSE requirements.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, developers, subcontractors, and local authorities.
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, contract specifications, project documentation, and site management.
• Excellent leadership, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and deliver projects within established timelines and budgets.
• UAE/GCC construction experience strongly preferred.
• Previous experience working with a main contractor on major shopping mall developments will be a significant advantage.
