Construction Manager / Superintendent – Luxury Residential Construction

Job Overview

We are a luxury design-build company specializing in high-end custom homes and residential remodels. We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager / Superintendent who can take ownership of both project management and day-to-day field operations.

The ideal candidate has strong experience managing luxury residential construction and can coordinate the job from preconstruction through completion while maintaining schedule, quality, budget, and communication.

Responsibilities:
* Oversee luxury residential construction projects from preconstruction through completion
* Manage day-to-day onsite construction activities and subcontractors
* Develop and maintain project schedules and construction timelines
* Coordinate architects, engineers, designers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and clients
* Review architectural, structural, and MEP plans and identify potential conflicts
* Coordinate material deliveries, inspections, and subcontractor scheduling
* Monitor project progress, quality, costs, and change orders
* Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, building codes, and company standards
* Identify and resolve construction issues, delays, and field conflicts
* Conduct regular site inspections and quality-control checks
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized jobsite
* Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates
* Coordinate punch-list items through project completion
* Communicate closely with ownership and the project team
* Maintain organized project documentation using construction management software

Requirements
* 5+ years of experience as a Construction Manager, Superintendent, or similar leadership role
* Strong experience with custom homes, luxury residential construction, or high-end remodels
* Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, sequencing, and trades
* Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP plans
* Experience managing subcontractors and multiple trades
* Strong scheduling, coordination, and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and leadership abilities
* Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
* Comfortable taking ownership of projects and making decisions in the field

Preferred
* California residential construction experience
* Experience managing high-end/custom homes
* Familiarity with California building codes and inspection processes
* Experience coordinating city inspections and permitting
* Experience with JobTread or similar construction management software

Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is both hands-on in the field and strong in project management. You should be able to manage subcontractors, schedules, materials, inspections, quality control, and project coordination while keeping the project moving forward.

The ideal candidate takes ownership, communicates issues early, and understands the level of quality and attention to detail expected in luxury residential construction.
