Construction Materials Technician II

Title: Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Technician (Entry, Mid, and Senior Level)

Location: Sulphur, LA (On-site)

Pay: $20 - $23/hour, based on experience

About the Role

Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking entry, mid, and senior level Construction Materials Testing Technicians for our client’s Sulphur, Louisiana location. This position involves testing and inspection of various construction materials, including soils, concrete, and pile monitoring. The preferred candidate will have ACI, NICET, or TxDOT certifications. Experienced and inexperienced candidates are encouraged to apply. All necessary training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Produce timely and detailed reports
• Operate your vehicle safely and follow corporate safety procedures at all times
• Follow all company procedures and protocols
• Cooperate with the technical team and share information across the organization
• Build positive relationships with clients
• Arrive on time each day at the job site you are dispatched to
• Communicate with dispatch on a daily basis
• Communicate with onsite clients each day and relay any information to management

Requirements

• Dependable transportation. A truck is preferred, as there is an incentive program for using one for work
• Ability to pass a DISA drug screen
• Ability to pass a TWIC background check
• Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and equipment
• Ability to maintain an “on call” type schedule and willingness to work irregular hours

Preferred

• OSHA 10, ACI, NICET, or TxDOT certifications
